Please note swimmers swimming later in sessions IE relays need to make sure thy are at main warm ups. Arriving later in the session will not be accepted as it’s imperative all teams warm up together, furthermore the staff are able to check the available swimmers before the relay declaration forms are put in. Please note should swimmers decide to arrive late they will Not be entered on the relay dec form as it will be assumed they are unavailale.

parking in front of the garage cars will be clamped. pleaseweb aware the garage owners need to get into the garage at anytime. the golfshop have also warned that they now had clampers at the ready so please be careful where and when you park your car.

Zonal Relays – Provisional Teams

Please note due to the rankings being down on the ASA website I have not  been able to get times to select the teams please see below the provisional teams for the Zonal Relays. Please remember we can gain selection to the Nationals from this event so this is a priority event. SO means swim off, to assure we get the best results some swimmers will be involved in swim offs this Friday PM at Lboro. As soon at the rankings are working I will confirm teams just wanted to give you a gage of who may be swimming where

The City of Derby Swimming Club held their Level 1 Open Meet this weekend at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

It was a fantastic success with a high class field competing including members of the GB Team.

We had a British Record and a loads of qualifying times for the Olympic Trials and for Nationals.

All this would not have been possible without all the volunteers and officials that gave up their time to support this meet.

The City of Derby Swimming Club would like to express their gratitude and thanks to all those people that made the meet so successful and we hope to see you all next year.

Reminder – JN & Dev1 Times Trials – Tues, 17 January 2012

Just a quick reminder to everyone that we are holding time trials again for Junior National and Development 1 squads this Tuesday, 17 January 2012 to give you the opportunity to get the last entry times for the Derbyshire Counties.

Arena League – City of Derby B Team Division 3 Swim Off

It was a nail-biting event, with only 2 points separating 2nd and 4th with 8 events to go and City of Derby B Team in 3rd position at this point!!!

***UPDATE***Derbyshire County Championships Entry Forms

This year the Derbyshire County Championships are being held on the following weekends:

Matlock “ARC” Pool …. 3rd / 4th March 2012
Chesterfield ….10th / 11th March 2012
Derby QLC …. 17th March 2012

Swimmers from all squads should be looking to enter this competition, and this will be the main focus for the next couple of months.

Membership Renewal Packs

Just a quick message to let City of Derby Members know that the 2012 Club Membership Renewal Packs will be issued over the next couple of weeks.

This year the ASA are launching a new On-line Membership System (OMS) which has meant that we received the ASA renewal pack a little later than usual and hence the slight delay.

Please be aware that you are responsible for your own entries not the club due to the individual data required. Please check procedures and cut offs immediately if this affects you.
